Scottish Highland Cattle

This iconic breed of cattle are ideal for the harsh high desert landscape and climate. With their long shaggy double coat of hair they stay warm in the winter, cool in the summer and protected from the sage and juniper. Their hearty nature means they need less artificial intervention to stay happy and healthy. Our bull and his gals are a friendly group who come when called, and always enjoy a treat!

Mangalitsa Pigs

Called the "kobe beef of pork" Manglitsa offer a richly marbled meat, that is full of flavor. This heritage Hungarian breed almost went extinct in the '70's but has seen a slow revival from those who love pork. With their thick curly coat this distinctive breed is ideal for Central Oregon. Burt and Betty joined us in 2020 and are the mama and papa to all our piglets. These two are terrific parents and happily teach the young ones the joys of pasture life.
